Terms of Service

Effective Date: 28 March 2026

Welcome to LoanLens ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LoanLens platform ("Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Nature of the Service

LoanLens provides tools to model loan scenarios, including but not limited to repayment projections, amortisation schedules, and hypothetical financial outcomes. LoanLens also provides a secure document upload portal for collecting client documents as part of the loan application process.

The Service is intended to assist users in understanding loan scenarios and facilitating discussions. It is not a substitute for professional advice.


2. No Financial Advice

LoanLens does not provide financial, legal, or credit advice.

All outputs, projections, and calculations are:

  • illustrative only
  • based on user-provided inputs
  • subject to assumptions and limitations

You acknowledge that:

  • results may not reflect actual loan outcomes
  • you should seek independent professional advice before making financial decisions

3. Accuracy and Disclaimer

While we aim to provide accurate calculations, LoanLens makes no guarantees regarding:

  • accuracy
  • completeness
  • reliability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • we disclaim all liability for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • we are not responsible for decisions made based on the Service

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • LoanLens is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
  • including loss of income, business, opportunity, or financial loss

Our total liability is limited to:

  • the amount paid by you (if any) to use the Service in the preceding 12 months

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information
  • use the Service lawfully
  • not misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the platform

You are solely responsible for:

  • how you use the outputs
  • how you present results to clients
  • any advice given to third parties

6. Client Use and Sharing

If you share LoanLens outputs with clients:

  • you are responsible for ensuring appropriate context and explanation
  • you must not represent outputs as guaranteed or definitive financial outcomes

LoanLens accepts no liability for how outputs are used or interpreted by third parties.


7. Document Portal

7.1 Broker Responsibilities

When you create a document portal for a client, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for informing your client about the purpose of the document collection
  • You must only request documents that are reasonably necessary for the stated purpose
  • You are responsible for downloading all required documents before the 30-day retention window expires
  • All uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days from the date the portal is created. LoanLens cannot recover deleted files under any circumstances.
  • You are responsible for the secure handling of documents after downloading them from LoanLens

7.2 Client Uploads

Clients upload documents through a shared link without needing a LoanLens account. By uploading documents:

  • The client acknowledges the collection notice presented before uploading
  • Uploaded files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on servers in Australia
  • Only the broker who created the portal can download and decrypt the uploaded files
  • LoanLens staff cannot access the content of uploaded documents

7.3 File Types and Limits

  • Accepted file types: PDF, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per file
  • Maximum files per checklist item: 5
  • Maximum files per portal: 50

7.4 Retention and Deletion

  • All uploaded files are permanently deleted 30 days after the portal is created
  • Encryption keys are destroyed when files are deleted, making any residual data unrecoverable
  • Portal metadata (client name, item labels) is anonymised after the retention period
  • Brokers may archive a portal at any time, which immediately and permanently deletes all uploaded files
  • LoanLens accepts no liability for data loss resulting from the automatic 30-day deletion or from a broker's failure to download files within the retention window

7.5 Prohibited Uploads

You must not upload:

  • Malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
  • Files you do not have the right to share
  • Content unrelated to the stated document request

8. Accounts and Access

To use certain features, you may be required to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
  • all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.


9. Data and Privacy

We collect and use data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We:

  • do not sell personal data
  • implement reasonable security measures to protect data

We may use and commercialise:

aggregated, anonymised, and non-identifiable data relating to loan scenarios and usage patterns

This data will never identify individual users or clients.


10. Data Retention and Deletion

We store user and loan data only as required for the operation of the Service.

For uploaded documents, see Section 7.4 above.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at:

We will take reasonable steps to delete your data within 30 days, subject to legal and operational requirements.


11. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service remain the property of LoanLens.

You may not:

  • copy
  • reproduce
  • distribute
  • modify

any part of the Service without permission.

You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload to the Service.


12. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may:

  • modify
  • suspend
  • discontinue

any part of the Service at any time without notice.


13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
